Commitment to Confront
Lesson: II Samuel
12:1-7a; 13-15
- If we rebuke someone, we must be sure that we do
so with divine authority (II Sam 12:1)
- Rebuke will be more effective if it shows how
truly evil the sinner's act was (II Sam 12:2-4).
- Evil is usually easier to see in others than in
ourselves (II Sam 12:5-6).
- The most loving thing we can do for sinning
believers is to confront them (II Sam 12:7).
- True confession makes no excuses for sin (II Sam
12:13).
- God graciously forgives sin, but we must
remember that there may still be consequences to
bear (II Sam 12:14-15).

best way (Esther 4:12-13).

A Commitment to Change
Lesson: Isaiah 6:1-8
- If God is the focus of heaven, He should
certainly be the center of our lives (Isaiah
6:1).

distinguish our lives as it does the lives of
the seraphim (Isaiah 6:2).
- We glorify God when we declare His holiness
by word and action (Isaiah 6:3-4).
- We see ourselves most clearly when we grasp
something of the Lord's holiness (Isaiah 6:5).
- Only those who acknowledge Christ's
sacrifice can receive God's forgiveness (Isaiah
6:7).
- One who knows God's forgiveness will be
willing to go wherever He sends (Isaiah 6:8).
