JANUARY 11, 2009 - Rehab's Commitment
Lesson: Joshua 2:1-4, 8-14; 6:22-23, 25
- We never know in whom God might be working
to produce faith (Joshua 2:1.
- Those who recognize God's work will
recognize and honor God's servants (Joshua
2:2-4).
- God often confirms His word to us through
other people (2:8-11).
- Faith entails a willingness to abandon
previous loyalties and join God's people
(2:12-14).
- We cannot expect God's blessing if we do not
keep our commitments to others (6:22-23).
- Those who serve God's people are serving
God, and they will be amply rewarded (2:25).

Commitment in Leadership
Lesson:
Joshua 3:1-13
- We are always safest when following the
Lord, even when the way He lease us is difficult
(Joshua 3:1-3).
- Spiritual battles require spiritual
preparation (Joshua 3:4).
- Commitment to the Lord enables us to see His
hand at work in all situations (Joshua 3:5).
- We are not to seek honor in the Lord's
service; He will honor us in due time
(Joshua 3:6-8).
- God is Lord of all earth; thus, no earthly
power can thwart His will (Joshua 3:9-12).
- We should view obstacles as opportunities
for our faith to grow (Joshua 3:13).

Preparing for Commitment
Lesson:
Judges 13:1-7a, 8-3, 24
- Those who persist in evil are enslaved by it
(Judges 13:1).
- The Lord always prepares His servants for
their work (13:2-4)
- Our commitment to the Lord will be reflected
in our children (13:5-7)
- If we are to live for the Lord, we must be
eager for Him to teach us (13:11-13).
- Parents can do nothing better than to seek
the Lord's direction in raising their children
(13:11-13).
- Faithfulness to God brings His blessing on
our family as well as on ourselves (13:24).
